- Abstract
Purpose: To examine the use of theory of planned behavior to predicting factors affecting Muslim's family Takaful participation Design/methodology/approach: Quantitative data administrations were analyzed in order to identify the most important factors affecting Muslim's family Takaful participation. The sample for this research will be consisted of Muslims in Pahang either participate in Takaful programme or life insurance. Data from the survey will be formulated to find the factors contribute to participation in Takaful. Findings: The previous studies have proved that the Decomposed Theory of Planned Behavior (DTPB) can be a useful model in evaluating the intention to use technology products and services. The expected findings in this research will be used to facilitate the marketing managers in encouraging individuals to participate in family takaful. Research limitations: Focusing on Islamic based insurance (Takaful) and Muslim's family only. Practical implications: Marketing strategy on how to attract Muslim's family to participate in Takaful. Originality/value: Effect of Attitude, Subject Norm, and perceived behavioral control to participate in Family Takaful.
