- Authors

- Abstract
The relationship between four properties of organizational structure and certain personality characteristics of teachers are investigated to determine their effect on teacher perception of organizational climate in schools. Organizational structure is confined to structural properties, which include complexity, centralization, formalization, and professional latitude. Teachers' personality characteristics are determined by the Cattell 16 personality factor inventory. The interaction between the organizational structure of a school and the personality characteristics of the teachers constitutes the independent variable. The dependent variable is the teachers' perception of the organizational climate of the school, as determined by the Organizational Climate Description Questionnaire.
