- Abstract
The article discusses the Food Code and proposed trans fat determination issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in November 2013. It says that the FDA has updated its Food Code, which is designed to assist in food control jurisdictions at all government levels by providing legal and technical basis for regulating food service and retail segment of the industry. It states that the FDA has published a notice restricting the use of partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) in foods.
