- Abstract
This work presents results concerning the synthesis and study of the optical properties and chemical composition of electrochemically deposited SnS thin films. This is a relatively new compound, which has adequate properties to be used as absorber layer in solar cells. The effect of the synthesis conditions on the optical properties and chemical composition was studied through spectral transmittance and AES (Auger Electron Spectroscopy) measurements respectively. The AES analysis allowed getting information related with the chemical composition at the surface, as well as in depth profile. The results indicated the deposition conditions affect both, the optical properties and the chemical composition homogeneity of the SnS films.
