- Abstract
Database designs respond to business needs in data management and analysis. The Cadastral Office of the State of Colima lacks a structured design to support the management of the cadastral register data. This work proposes a multidimensional database design for the management of cadastral data. The Scrum methodology has been used to control the software engineering process and the Kimball methodology for the construction of the data warehouse. As a result, a database with multidimensional design is obtained considering mainly the hierarchies of geographical area and time, which allows dynamic queries related to the relevant characteristics of the properties, such as the property tax, types and classification of properties, as well as the uses. The design presents an innovative structure that is integrated into the Business Intelligence System for Cadastral Administrative Services, used as support in the generation of indicators, which are used for the study and decision- making in the state and federal institutions of the coun
