- Abstract
The article presents a study on the social structure of Gazella subgutturosa or Goitred gazelles in Xinjiang Province, China. The researchers conducted the investigations at the Kalamaili Mountain Nature Reserve (KNR) from November 2005 to May 2007. They found that solitary individuals are common for ungulates species like Pantholops hodgsonii or Tibetan antelope, Budorcas taxicolor bedfordi or golden takin and the Bison bison athabascae or wood bison. They concluded that the strategy of the highest possible population dispersion is used by Goitred gazelles over their extensive natural range.
