The article focuses on the detrimental impact of the "bubble effect" in cyberspace, exacerbated by personalized information sources and algorithmic recommendation systems, leading to polarization and hindering democratic discourse. It discusses the challenges posed by information bubbles to maintaining an open and diverse public sphere online. It evaluates the efficacy of the EU (European Union) Digital Services Act in addressing these challenges.
