- Authors
BRAKE, LAUREL
- Abstract
The article discusses issues related to the digitization of historic titles that are free of copyright restrictions and suggests that materiality does not lie in print alone. Topics discussed include the emergence of new approaches to research due to digital iterations of media and a comparison of historical print texts and digital remediations of such texts. Also discussed are problems associated with the potential of digital formats for the study of 19th-century journalism.
