- Abstract
The article discusses a study which described a method to perform a constrained lithospheric-scale inversion of satellite gravity gradient data for the upper mantle density variation. Topics covered include the design of a seismically constrained three-dimensional (3D) crustal reference model and the modeling method presented in the study which combined the computationally efficient spherical harmonics method and the local parameterization.
