The article discusses the connection of delayed disclosure to complainant credibility in sexual assault cases in Canada in 2011. It tackles the doctrine of the recent complaint legislation and its cancellation. It also evaluates the case law which applies to delayed disclosure and examines the responsibility of trial judges to limit the defence counsel's cross-examination on delayed disclosure cases.
