- Abstract
The author discusses "Ghost Nets," a public art project she developed on Vinalhaven Island in Maine. The project involved the rehabilitation of a site that formerly served as the town dump. The author explains that she employed various concepts related to the healing of the human body, such as trigger point theory and acupuncture, as models in trying to understand the restoration of areas of environmental degradation. In addition, she comments on how the project helped her deal with her chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).
