The article discusses the highlights of the 10th International Marine Geological Conference held in Saint Petersburg, Russia from August 24-28, 2010. The event was hosted by the A.P. Karpinsky Russian Geological Research Institute (VSEGEI). Among the issues discussed during the event were the structure of the Baltic Sea regin, marine sedimentology and geochemistry, and environmental geology. The event was attended by 130 experts in marine geosciences from various nations.
