- Abstract
The article discusses the banality of evil concept by philosopher Hannah Arendt revisited through the experiments of psychologist Stanley Milgram associated with the political violence in the 20th and 21st centuries. Topics mentioned include the finding of the study of obedience that ordinary people can be a mass murderer like the Holocaust, the view on political democracy that can not prevent the occurence of misdeeds in the U.S., and the situational pressures of the perpetuators.
