- Abstract
The article presents an overview of changes that have been seen in the complexity of prejudice and discrimination over time in the United States. A discussion of the impact several factors, including World War II and the 1964 Civil Rights Act, had on race relations in the U.S. and the complexity of prejudice and discrimination in the U.S. is presented. Resentment which was seen in various groups in the U.S., including white liberals and ethnic group members, as a result of changes in race relations and affirmative action programs, is discussed.
