- Abstract
This article looks into the didactic interaction in the FSL classroom, focusing on teacher politeness towards college students. Teacher-student interactions were recorded during class, and the analysis of such data provided evidence for the frequency with which students' speech is interrupted by the teacher. This study is important in the context where it takes place, that is, the training of French teachers, particularly their pedagogical training and their classroom management skills. Thus, it prompts teachers to reflect on their behavior and their interactional performance in the classroom to improve the teaching-learning process.
