- Abstract
Within the key indicators when analyzing a country's productive structure, the gross value added of production gains great relevance. this indicator measures the total value created by a specific sector or territory. the objective of this article is to unfold an analysis of the evolution, sectoral structure, and territorial dynamics of argentina's gross value added from 2004 to 2021. using a quantitative-descriptive methodology that incorporates georeferencing and multivariate statistical analysis, the data for the indicator were analyzed based on information from the economic commission for latin america and the caribbean (eclac) and the argentine Ministry of economy. the central region of the country stands out, explaining nearly 70% of the national dynamics. the manufacturing sector is the most predominant in the productive economy. the indicator shows a discontinuous evolution, with the values being affected by the coVid-19 pandemic.
