- Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the levels of professional anxiety of pre-service teachers. The screening model was used in the research. The population of the study consists of 400 students in the 3rd and 4th grade of Giresun Faculty of Education. 144 students were taken from the research universe by simple random sampling method. In order to collect the data of the study, "Teacher Anxiety Scale" developed by Saban, Korkmaz and Akbaşlı (2004) was used. SPSS 20 statistical program was used to analyze the data. Parametric and non-parametric tests were used to analyze the data. .05 was accepted as the level of significance. According to the findings of the research, it was understood that the pre-service teachers' occupational anxiety levels were moderate. Candidates' self-centered concerns were higher than task and student-centered concerns. While the levels of occupational anxiety of the candidates did not show a significant difference according to the gender variable, it was found that there were significant differences according to age, class level and branch variables.
