- Abstract
The article reports that Australian Commonwealth Government seeks to achieve self-reliance in the defense of Australia and in the light of present strategic realities to achieve self-reliance in the current geostrategic environment. Topics include Australia should acquire a launchable existing air and naval platforms, to provide a strategic strike capability; and acquisition of commercial trading vessels suitable for providing logistic support to a force deployed in the islands.
