- Abstract
The article examines the beneficial effects of Jump Rope for Heart (JRFH) health program launched by the Hong Kong College of Cardiology in October 1999 in Hong Kong, China. The primary focus of the program is to increase the fitness levels and provide health education to the youth in the city in response to the growing concerns over declining youth health. Its main purpose is to motivate the young generation to adopt a heart healthy lifestyle through exercise in order to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. JRFH program has successfully lured many companies to require their employees to indulge in the jumping rope activity.
