This article provides a comprehensive overview of censorship in Croatian literature from 1945 to 1950, with a specific focus on children's literature. It discusses the challenges faced by writers during this period, including the loss of many authors during World War II and the suppression of their work. The article also highlights the methods used to prevent the publication of objectionable content and the role of the Ministry of Education in censorship. It further explores the existence of covert censorship techniques and the censorship of authors and books during the communist era in Yugoslavia.
