- Abstract
The article presents a case study of 41-year-old woman treated for a venous leg ulcer. Topics discussed include history of undergoing a venous ultrasound investigation with ultrasonic gel; developing an intense itchy urticarial and eczematous skin reaction after using same gel and treated with class 2 topical corticosteroid; and composition of the three ultrasonic gels including the Aquasonic100, Instillagel, and the Ultra/Phonic.
