- Title
Determination of Trace Concentrations of Bromate in Bottled Waters by Reagent- Free™ Ion Chromatography.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents information on experiments done to determine trace concentrations of bromate in bottled waters using ion chromatography method. Some bottled water products disinfect with ozone, which is known to react with bromide in the source water to produce bromate, a potential human carcinogen. The article gives a description of equipments and techniques used in this experiment. The method used in this experiment achieves a method detection limit of 1.4 microgram per litre bromate using a 200 microlitre injection volume. The determination of bromate using the AS19 column with an integrated RFIC system enables sub-microgram per litre bromate detection limits.
