- Abstract
The article focuses on a study regarding the inhibition of infection caused by influenza A virus by Galectin-9 (Gal-9). The study reveals that the lactose inhibited the binding of Gal-9 to the H1N1, H3N2 and H5N1 influenza A viruses. It mentions that the combined administration of Gal-9 and oseltamivir was more effective in inhibiting the influenza virus replication.
