- Title
Only You Can Create Actionable Knowledge.
- Authors
Blood, Milton R.
- Abstract
The article mentions the 2004 Annual Conference of the Academy of Management and comments on the concept of actionable knowledge. An example of creating actionable knowledge in teaching is a simulation used in the Rockhurst University EMBA. Business schools and faculty can increase the action potential of knowlege by making actionable knowledge a goal of course-level learning, providing reality-based simulations and problems, accepting students' experiential expertise, designing learning experiences into courses and research projects, defining the program-level goals in terms of professional skills that will be acquired, and legitimizing faculty contributions with a reward process.
