- Abstract
[Objectives] The study aimed to analyze and assess the climate in Ankang in 2012. [Method] Based on the real-time data of temperature, precipitation and sunshine hours from ten meteorological observations in Ankang City from 1961 to 2012, climatic characteristics of Ankang City in 2012 were analyzed firstly, and then the effects of main climatic events (drought, high temperature, rainstorm and flood, low temperature, hail and gale) on agriculture, energy, traffic and tourism were discussed. [Result[ In 2012, annual average temperature in Ankang City was 14.6 °C, 0.4 °C lower than the normal average over the past pears; annual average precipitation was 823.5 mm, 9.7% lower than the normal average; annual average sunshine hours were 1459.6 h, 213.9 h less than the normal average. Most areas of Ankang City had suffered many meteorological disasters successively in 2012, such as low temperature, drought, windstorm, high temperature, thunder and lightning, gale, fog and haze. Drought, high temperature, rainstorm, hail, gale and other natural disasters had affected agriculture, forestry, traffic and tourism and brought great economic loss. [Conclusion] The research could provide scientific references for agricultural production and people's life in future.
