- Abstract
The article focuses on the involvement of engineering education in promoting sustainable development. It stresses that future engineers with appropriate skills and knowledge can play major roles in the transdisciplinary cooperation for sustainable development. However, it suggests that if universities will initiate comprehensive changes in research, education, and management, sustainable development will be achieved. It further concludes that engineering who were involved in sustainable development are expected to address environmental and interrelated socio-economic problems.
