- Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has wrought substantial changes in the healthcare landscape, amplifying operational complexity and introducing novel challenges in the domain of Therapeutic Recreation (TR). In this context, innovation, adaptability, and sustainability have become indispensable attributes, particularly within long-term care facilities. This essay explores multifaceted strategies aimed at mitigating both the immediate and enduring impacts of the pandemic on TR practices, drawing from the seminal research conducted by Genoe and Johnstone (2021).
