COMUNICACIÓN ESCRITA Y ORAL DE LA ORDENANZA MUNICIPAL (SIGLOS XV-XVI).

- Abstract
Municipal ordinances played an extraordinary role in the evolution of late medieval and early modern Castilian town councils. The management of these local councils cannot be understood without the application of provisions dictated by the lords of the towns or by the councils themselves serving to achieve peaceful political coexistence and hence economic prosperity. The diplomatic study of the documents containing these norms have been neglected in historical analysis. This study will advance a typology of the documents used in the presentation of the ordinances. This includes, among various documentary forms, the category of original, certified copy and simple copy. Likewise, the methods of oral transmission of these rules in an illiterate society will also be assessed.
