- Abstract
In this paper, the authors describe the importance of promoting textile products through online social networks. In this respect, two researches are carried out: an exploratory research describing the current promoting methods used by textiles manufacturers and a quantitative research emphasizing the importance of online social networks in improving their market performance. Results indicate that, in an ever-changing European economy, the online environment, and therefore, the social networks, can contribute not only to improving consumer's perception about the quality of textile products on the domestic market but also to increasing manufactures' direct sales in the textile industry.
