- Abstract
The article discusses the aspects of the utilization of health products founded by biotechnology that are expected to penetrate the healthcare industry by 2012 to 2015. These products, which have undergone industrial processes, are cited including biopharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and bioinformatics which encompass deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sequencing and pharmacogenetics. It is also noted that the information discussed was gathered from sources including the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products (EMEA).
