- Abstract
Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) is characterized by antisocial behaviors, such as disobedience, hostility, aggressiveness and rebelliousness. The disorder is first perceived in the first years of life, when the child shows difficulty in following rules and recognizing their mistakes. ODD's occurrence is multifactorial, being related to biological, psychological and social factors. In summary, this article aims to conduct a literature review on Oppositional Defiant Disorder. The data used in this study were collected through research in websites, scientific journals, books and scientific articles from PubMed, SciELO and APA Psycnet platforms.
