- Abstract
Introduction: Skin cancer represents 33% of neoplasms in Brazil, and second only to cardiovascular disease. Until the year 2013 it was projected there would be 518.510 new cases of this pathology in the country, 260.610 of which are men with prevalence of non-melanoma skin cancer. Aim: To synthesize researches related to non-melanona skin cancer, in order to analyze the determining factors of its incidence in the male public, portraying clinical symptoms, diagnosis, types of prevention and treatment. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, whose data collection was obtained through scientific productions, published from 2010 to 2020 available in the Lilacs, Scielo, Medline and BDENF databases. Results: The sample consisted of 16 studies that list the main factors associated with non-melanoma skin cancer in men. Conclusion: The incidence of non-melanoma skin cancer in male is increasing and requires a greater number of studies focused on the theme and the promotion of health education by nurses in this population.
