- Title
Femtosecond laser spot linked to rainbow glare.
- Authors
Hasson, Matt
- Abstract
The article discusses a research which linked rainbow glare, an optical side effect of femtosecond laser flap creation in IntraLASIK, to an older IntraLase laser. It references a study by Ronald R. Krueger and colleagues, published in "Ophthalmology." Patients involved in the study underwent Laser-Assisted On Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) performed with a LADARVision 4000 excimer laser. The study also found an association between the incidence of rainbow glare and the frequency of service calls for optical alignment.
