There has been a steady drop in central line associated bloodstream infection rates over the past decade. Infection preventionists and vascular access clinicians have been instrumental in implementing best practices around line insertion and maintenance care procedures. This presentation discusses concepts around leadership and getting large organizations to change imbedded practices in order to achieve improved outcomes.
