- Abstract
The article argues on the need to amend the outdated Wire Act in the U.S. to enable interstate sports betting. Topics include the cultural history of gambling and sports betting legislation in the U.S., factors that led to the passage of the Wire Act, how the Act's current form hinders bettors and sportsbooks, and the proposed amendment to the law that will authorize interstate sports betting and support betting across state lines using mobile sportsbooks.
