- Abstract
The article presents information on Jones Act which is a law related to the seamen's right wherein seamen are not allowed to recover workers' compensation benefits from their employers. It informs that under Jones Act the potential defendants face less than the full costs of the injuries they cause to seamen as they are not liable in a wrongful death case, for the survivors' loss of society damages.
