- Abstract
About 10-15% of the patients with ET and PMF have a "triple-negative" status, showing none of the driver mutations described (Barbui I et al. i , [3]). Here, we describe a patient initially diagnosed with CML that evolved to ET with confirmed I CALR i mutation, after having been treated successfully with tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). At that time, the association between MPN and I CALR i mutations had already been reported (Chi I et al. i , [6]), so that a simplified genotyping by fragment analysis in a blood sample was performed, which detected a mutation in I CALR i exon 9.
