- Abstract
Longitudinal trend analysis of serum transferrin receptor-1 level in a cohort of patients affected by non-transfusion dependent thalassaemia The 16 patients committed to receive BT were maintained at pre-transfusion haemoglobin (Hb) levels of 90-100 g/l; in patients with EMH the pre-transfusion Hb level was slightly increased to a target range of 100-105 g/l in order to reduce or prevent further progression of EMH. Table shows the intra-group comparison of the median sTfR1 levels at baseline, pre-treatment and post-treatment, and their median delta in BT and HC groups.
