- Abstract
This article discusses the political conditions in Mexico based on the presidential elections of 2012. The author comments on the role of lack of democratic and neoliberal ideals in Mexican politics as well as the widespread political and electoral corruption in current and past elections. He also describes the state of Mexico's main political parties, the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) and the Partido de la Revolución Democrático (PRD). The author's predictions for the future of Mexican politics is also explored.
