- Abstract
The article provides guidance to create favorable conditions for animal husbandry of reptiles. It is specified that reptiles are ectotherms, and have a preferred optimum temperature zone that allows them to thermoregulate themselves. Housing needs for reptiles include a vivarium with high temperature that ensures optimal health of the animals. The article also includes humidity maintenance specifications, lighting, heating and nutritional requirements of different reptiles.
