- Abstract
The article reports on the development of the zinc-finger nuclease (ZFN) rapid modular assembly by zinc-finger arrays. It states that the process is done through comparing zinc fingers with equivalent DNA-binding specificity, 37 zinc fingers for use in genome editing, preparing combinatorial library of two-finger modules consisting two finger arrays, among others. It notes that the semi-assembled zinc-finger arrays allow rapid construction of ZFNs using conventional recombinant DNA technology.
