- Title
A novel amniote model of epimorphic regeneration: the leopard gecko, Eublepharis macularius.
- Abstract
The article presents information on epimorphic regeneration of leopard gecko. Examination of tail structure and tissue composition of amniote Eublepharis macularius was done showing regeneration through conserved pattern. After removal of tail, the first appearance of blastema was seen. Skeletal tissue differentiation and muscle re-development are delayed which shows that epimorphic regeneration is conserved in vertebrates.
