The article discusses the state of national security in Poland. Poland's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the transformation of its strategic situation is, according to the author, not what it appears to be. The author believes that Poland has to decide if it remains strategically passive or become active, to avoid further deterioration of its security. According to the author, there is no assurance of steadfast commitment by NATO to Poland's security.
