The article focuses on the impact of the use of social media and Internet by jurors on the Contempt of Court Act 1981 which restricts journalists that want to publish material that could have a prejudicial effect at a trial. Topics discussed include the aim of the law to prevent partiality and bias among jury, the use of jury sequestration in the U.S., and the possible risk of prejudice.
