Abstract
In this article the author discusses how science can be used for the development of literacy. According to the author, by understanding the progression of learning and engaging children in reading, writing, and conversing about science and technology, educators can develop literacy skills and encourage both reading and science literacy. The author says that if literature is fact-based, it can enhance the understanding of science.
