Arguing Versus Scientific Argumentation.
Abstract
The article focuses on the importance in students to learn scientific argumentation in studying science in the U.S. It has been cited that a scientific argument must be able to convince others that the data derived are strong enough to support a model. Moreover, the National Science Education Standards supports the importance of scientific argumentation by providing students the opportunity to use scientific inquiry and to develop their ability to think.
