- Authors
Cordey, Fabrice; Carter, Elizabeth S.
- Abstract
The article reports that Atalantria is the new name being proposed to a genus of Nasselaria found in Lower Jurassic strata of western Canada. It states that Atalanta was the first name proposed but was already used by several authors, including J. W. Meigen who used the name for a genus from the family of Empididae in 1800, and C. S. Rafinesque who used the name as a genus of flowering plant in 1838.
