- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that examined the neural control of olfactory processes. The sense of smell and olfactory memory are important to the survival of many animals. The involvement of the principal α-amino-3-hydroxy-5- methyl-4-isoxazole propionic acid receptor subunit, GluRB, in the odor discrimination process and olfactory memory of mice was investigated. Olfactory memory seems to be linked to the level of GluRB subunit expression in the forebrain.
