- Abstract
The Eastern Siberia Basin is one of the oldest petroliferous basins in the world. Oil and gas fields in the south part of basin are the main oil and gas souree areas for Sino-Russian crude oil pipelines and natural gas pipelines. In order to further implement the oil and gas resources potential in the region, based on the regional geological background and oil and gas geological characteristics, the distribution characteristics and main controlling factors of the oil and gas in the region were analyzed. The distribution of oil and gas in this area is related to the large uplift structure. The souree roek-reservoir-eover combination is mainly controlled by the early tectonic-sedimentary evolution of the basin. The development of favorable reservoirs is related to the paleotopography and paleo-sedimentary environment. The accumulation of oil and gas is related to the multi-stage tectonic movement of the basin. The basin has great potential for oil and gas exploration, and the tectonic uplift slope area is the key area for future exploration.
