- Abstract
The article discusses the authors' views about the need to legally reform the American medical licensure process as of 2019, and it mentions a shortage of qualified physicians in the U.S., as well as the potential impact that medical licensure reforms might have on access to medical care in the country. Recommendations are provided regarding the entry of experienced physicians from foreign countries and provisional licensing for medical school graduates.
